Our portfolio displays a sample of the work we do, including for some of the more unusual occasions.
To celebrate her 40th birthday in style and also meet up with some old friends, our client arranged a weekend stay at Wedderburn Castle for herself and her guests. We provided the catering and waiting which involved a kitchen supper for guests on arrival, a grand banquet in full evening dress as the highlight of the celebration, and a less formal dinner on the final evening.
Our client wished to surprise his wife with a special meal at the place where he had proposed to her. The venue - the top of Arthur's Seat, one summer's evening.
We transported and set a table and two chairs with linen, crockery and cutlery. Our client supplied his own wine. We served, waited and cleared a hot three course meal.
Our brief was to create a grand meal for 24 people that had a completely unique choice of dishes and exhibited Scottish produce. Set at Lee Castle we dressed the table and provided full silver service waiting.
This garden party on a Hawaiian theme had a pig roast as the centre-piece of the meal. Served as a buffet, the tables were lavishly decorated with tropical flowers and fruits.
Our clients wished to have a dinner party for friends with all the convenience of a restaurant, and at a comparable price, but within the comfort of home. On our arrival the hosts dis- appeared to get ready whilst we set the table and prepared the meal. The meal was served and waited with full silver service. Once the diners had withdrawn to the drawing room for coffee we cleared the table, washed everything and left the kitchen in pristine condition.
A theatrical step back into the past with this medieval party at Wedderburn Castle. Everyone dressed in authentic costume, including the waiters. The evening's enter- tainment included jugglers, fire-eaters and drummers. Jugs of ale were plentiful and the hog roast was born aloft by the chef to start the banquet.
Two friends wanted a memorable occasion to commemorate their parting company. We loaned a fully kitted picnic hamper, with a tablecloth, and filled it with goodies.
Set at Poldrates Mill we were asked that this wedding reception for 70 people should reflect the couple's Russian and Scottish roots. We decorated the rooms and tables with ribbons, candles and flowers, organised the bar, a ceilidh, and provided a cake and a traditional breaded wheat sheaf.
Our brief was quite simply to come up with an idea for the wedding feast that was radically different. The coulibiac was the centre-piece of the table, and surrounded by open pies with a variety of fillings. The mash was served in steamy pyramids.
A formal dinner for this country house wedding. Later in the evening real Scottish stovies made with shin of beef were served to the guests. Weekend accommodation was available to the wedding couple and a number of guests. We also provided an evening meal for people on arrival and breakfast the following morning.
